2 Looks Same Products

Have you ever looked through magazines, pinterest, blogs, and YouTube and thought, I really love that look, but I bet those colours won't work on me?  Or have you ever bought an eyeshadow palette and find you only use two or three colours all the time?  Well, her at All Scrubbed Up, I have dedicated this segmentto challenging me, to show you, how you can use the exact same colours to create different looks on two, sometimes three different skin tones!

Taylor Swift VMAs 2015

My first challenge starts with my favourite hair and make-up look for the VMAs 2015.  I loved Taylor Swift's with her thick winged eyeliner, nude lips, barely there blush and a sleek ponytail.  It is simply, chic and elegant.

Meet Louise and Maya, my two gorgeous models who I have recreated this look on.

I decided to slightly adapt the look and focus it more on the eyeliner, even though I know that Taylor wore a strong grey eyeshadow with the eyeliner.   The key products used are:

MAC:  Contrast Eyeshadow, Knight Divine Eyeshadow, Feline Eye Liner, Refined Golden Bronzer

Nars: Black Liquid Liner, Giza Lipgloss

Trish McEvoy:  Eye Brightener Shell pencil

I used the appropriate foundations and concealers for both Louise and Maya.  I started lining the eyes with the Feline eye liner, creating a straight line, once happy with the shape, I used Contrast to line the lower lash line and the added Knight Divine on top of it to achieve the blue/grey effect.  I sharpened the top lash line with the Nars black liquid liner. I lined the lower water line of the eyes with Trish McEvoy's Shell Eye Brightener pencil.

I used the MAC Refined Golden bronzer as a light blush on both ladies, and finally on the lips I used Giza lip gloss.
