Dr Sebagh Facial
As a Make-Up Artist it is extremely important to look after your skin as this affects how well your makeup will look and in some cases perform on your skin.
I love a facial and it doesn't matter by which brand, as long as my skin looks 10 times brighter, feels smooth, hydrated and all the congestion and crap comes out of my skin.
I particularly love a facial at Liberty London. They have amazing and relaxing treatment rooms upstairs on the first floor, it feels like a mini spa and I believe some of the brands rotate their facial events monthly.
I recently had a Dr Sebagh facial and it was truly amazing! Dr Sebagh is a Cosmetic Facial Surgeon with a high profile client list that includes celebrities, models and VIPs! Some of you may know him as the Dr that collaborated with Cindy Crawford on her skincare line Meaningful Beauty (a mid-range priced line). The Dr Sebagh range itself is a high-end luxury scientific skincare line.
The room was nice and calming with lovely scent of ylang ylang in the air. As I nestled down underneath the towel and blanket on the treatment bed I closed my eyes and the therapist Tarren began the treatment.
She explained that she was using the Foaming cleanser to remove, make-up and dirt from my skin. She did this at least two times before moving on the the next stage. I love a good acidic exfoliator, as they dissolve all the dead skin cells and really breakdown congestion in the skin. I can suffer from hormonal spots around my jawline and sometimes near my ears. That particular day, I had two unwanted bumpy visitors on my cheek that would not go away or just come right out. You know the type of spots I'm talking about here. The ones that just lie under the skin and do nothing, but irritate you!!
As Tarren, exfoliated the skin she used the Sensitive Deep Exfoliating Mask, as I find the Deep Exfoliating Mask too strong for my skin. As she left this on my skin she began to give me a neck and shoulder massage. I carry so much tension in my shoulders, all the stresses I have seem to sit there and I have to admit, it has been a long while since I have had any type of body massage, so poor Tarren had to try and release what must have felt like rocks in my shoulders. She did a fantastic job!
After the exfoliator she used a Gold Elixir Serum. Gold is a fantastic ingredient used to energise and heal the skin. The Gold Elixir is a platinum gold serum that contains nano-technology. It tightens, plumps and lifts the skin giving a botox like complexion and lots of radiance to the skin. Tarren proceeded to do a lymphatic facial massage, she pressed, rubbed and pinch my face all over manipulating my face to drain all the toxic build up away, and it was AMAZING!!!
I can suffer from a lot of congestion in the skin as a build up of wearing make-up a lot for my job, so I love to have extraction on my skin during a facial, though this was not on offer for this type of facial. After my treatment I felt much lighter, my skin looked so clear and the horrible festering bumps under my skin had disappeared, which I was totally impressed by considering I didn't have any extraction!! I would highly recommend a Dr Sebagh facial, they will tailor it to your skin concerns, and you will come out truly pleased and radiant!
